Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-15

This policy explains how CostumeDex (https://costumedex.com) handles information when you visit the site.

Information we collect

CostumeDex has no accounts or forms and does not ask for personal information. Our host (Netlify) processes standard server logs (such as IP address, browser and pages requested) to deliver and secure the site. We set one first-party cookie, cdx_cc, containing only your two-letter country code so Canadian visitors can be sent to Amazon.ca.

Advertising: Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Third-party vendors and ad networks may also place and read cookies, web beacons or similar technologies on your browser, and may collect information such as your IP address and device identifiers, to show and measure ads.

Personalized ads and your choices

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Where required (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland), consent for ad cookies is requested through a Google-certified consent message.

Amazon Associates affiliate disclosure

CostumeDex is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program (and the Amazon.ca Associates Program), affiliate advertising programs designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and Amazon.ca. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. When you click a "Shop on Amazon" link, Amazon may set cookies to attribute the purchase; this does not change the price you pay.

Third-party services

Pages load fonts from Google Fonts and ads from Google. These services receive your IP address and browser information under their own privacy policies.

Children

CostumeDex is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest revision.
